LANC, Luan Samantha
On May 27 2020, it was time for our Wonderful Mother Luan to go to heaven where she will continue to
look after us. Predeceased by her husband Frank Sebisty and her friend Gordon Markey.
Fun Sister of Hilda (Frank Pust) Larry (Margaret) Joseph (Joan) Stanley (Cathy). Luan very much loved
her parents Joseph and Anna Lanc and her favorite Auntie Hilda (George) Vasil as well as her cousin
Frank (Mary Opasky).
She was very loved by all of the Sebastian Family and she very much loved and treasured them.
We were very blessed to have such a wonderful mother for Tom and Gerry.
We could never be Thankful enough to all the Staff at Wellington Terrace for providing a wonderful home
for her and providing extraordinary care for her when it was needed. We also want to mention our Great
Appreciation to all the wonderful and Brave people working at the Joseph Brant Hospital in Burlington
who did so much for our Mom in her final months.
Private gatherings will be held at some later time.
As an expression of celebration, donations to Saint Therese, "The Little Flower" would be
greatly appreciated.

Luan was a joy to know and I miss her already. I admired that even when she didn’t feel too well sometimes while we were talking on the phone, she somehow would rise to the occasion and inject much laughter into our conversation. She was always able to raise my spirits with her great sense of humour. I believe her faith in God helped her to get through some tough times during her life. It has been an honour to call her my dear friend.

Luan is my dear friend Gerry’s mom. I remember her for both her ever present sense of humour and her kind sense of compassion. From the many telephone conversations I had with Luan over the years, I don’t think I can remember a time when she wouldn’t have me laughing over something. Humour was her armour in life and I think everyone who had the joy of knowing her could learn from such wisdom. Though I feel sad that in this world we won’t chat again, I feel encouraged that through her deep faith she forever rests in good hands. May all of Luan’s family members and friends nurture the beautiful memories she left with us.

My condolences to the family. I will miss our talks on the phone. But now I can pray to her and talk longer. Will miss you so much.

My condolences to Luan's family, I remember her when her mother lived on Burlington St. in Hamilton. But I got to know her better when we played euchre at Frank and Mary's house often. RIP Luan
