Kool, Loretta (nee Rooms)
Passed away at the Carpenter Hospice on Friday, May 6, 2022, with her family by her side. Predeceased by her husband William, daughter Susanne and brother Emile. Beloved sister of Shelley and sister-in law Nellie. Will be deeply missed by her children Denise (Peter) Dan (Lynn), and Doug. Much loved grandmother to Hannah, Alec, Joanna, Stephanie, Jacqueline, Jaered, Jenna, Tracy and Robert. Great-grandmother to Ava, Bryson, Sadie, and Jimmy. A Memorial Gathering will take place at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line,(one stoplight north of the QEW) BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Sunday May 15th 2022 from 3pm until 6pm. Cremation has taken place. Private interment at Woodland Cemetery. A heartfelt thank you for support to mom and our family: JBH Palliative Care team, thank you for quick follow-up and care; Tamara Warwick and the wonderful team of PSWs at Wellington Terrace, thank you for the exceptional love and care; and to Dr. Plach at Carpenter House and her team of volunteers, nurses and PSWs, thank you for looking after mom as if she was your own. Finally, to those friends who remained a constant presence, thank you for the dinners, calls, and messages. The family will be providing Loretta’s favourite flowers for the Memorial. In lieu of floral arrangements, we would sincerely appreciate donations made to the Carpenter Hospice (The Burlington Rotary Community Hospice).
