Lois Yvonne Ricciardi (Oct. 28, 1932 – Dec. 3, 2020)

CHERISH YOUR TIME, OH FLEETING TIME, FOR THERE IS NEVER, EVER ENOUGH

JUST ONE MORE KISS, ONE MORE HUG, ONE MORE ‘I LOVE YOU’

With deep sadness, husband and soulmate Ted Armstrong is heartbroken to announce the peaceful passing of his beloved Lois. Cherished eldest daughter to Ernie (d. 2000) and Verna Sharpe (d. 1997). Doting sister to Arlene, Gail (d. 1998), Dawn (d. 2014) and Dwayne. Dearest mother to Paul (Kimmy), David (Lori), Lisa (Alan) and Brian. Loving Gramma to Brittaney (Jesse), Jennifer, Adam, Jesse, Candace, Matty, Dillan (Olivia), Daniel (Candace) and Jason (Georgie). Adoring Great Gramma to Ava and Madison. Devoted friend to countless others.

PICTURE A MISCHEVIOUS ANGEL WITH A BIG SUN HAT, AN INFECTIOUS LAUGH

AND A GLASS OF RED WINE IN HER HAND

A seamstress, a gardener, a chaperone. A world traveller and lover of life. A friend, a colleague, a confidante with a sympathetic ear and a shoulder to cry on. Mom was everything you needed her to be. She lived a long and rewarding life. Her friendships were deep, lasting and true. Mom’s family was the absolute center of her universe and all of us felt her unconditional love each and every day. She will be missed more than she could ever know.

But time had dimmed her impetuous spirit and her boundless energy was fading. Mom was tired and she was ready… though none of us could ever be ready to say goodbye. Our queen and matriarch has passed but she will never be gone. For season by season, for the rest of our days, we take comfort knowing our sweet mother will always be there.

She’ll be there in the lilting trill of the first songbirds of spring. She’ll be there in the warmth of the bright summer sunshine. She’ll be there in the wispy clouds of a deep blue autumn sky. And she’ll be there in the eternity of a starry winter night.

So, tend to your forever garden ma, and some day when we meet up yonder, amidst the blossoms, we’ll stroll hand and hand again.

OUR SHATTERED HEARTS WILL BE RESTORED PIECE BY PIECE,

EVER FULLER, WITH THE MEMORIES OF HER PRECIOUS LOVE

A celebration of life will take place in the new year. Cremation has taken place. Interment in the spring. In lieu of flowers, donations to your choice of charity would be appreciated.
