Passed away at the Village of Tansley Woods, on Friday, September 13, 2019, at the age of 92. Beloved husband of Patricia Vassallo for 68 years. Loving father of the late Laurie Vassallo Jr. (Angela), Joanne Finucan (Brian), the late Joseph Vassallo (Colleen), George Vassallo (Rosemary), Mary Ellen Imbrogno (Gino) and Valerie Petrachek (John). Proud grandfather of Melissa, Michael, Elizabeth, Brian, Michael, Joseph Jr., Kathleen, Michele, Nadene, Krystal, David, Jason, Sabrina, Brittany, Zachary, Courtney and Hailey. Cherished great-grandfather of many. Dear brother of late Joe Vassallo (Carm), George Vassallo ( Theresa), Mary Mancini (Late Nick), late Lillian Faragher (late Jim), late Phyllis Cook (late Walter), Janet Perala (Kal), Veronica Confalone (Anthony) and many nieces and nephews. Laurie will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stop light north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Tuesday, September 17, 2019 from 3-5 and 7-9pm. Vigil Prayers 4:30pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Paul the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, Burlington on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at 11:00am. Interment Mount Peace Cemetery. Reception to follow.
