It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Kathleen Whiteley on September 25th, 2019 at the age of 71.
Dear wife of Stephen Whiteley for nearly 54 years, beloved and precious mother of Andrew Whiteley (Blossom) and Joanne Kemp (Blair).
Loving Grandma and Nana to Ryan (Chelsey), Katelynn (Chris), Stephen, and Karly.
Survived by her mother in England, Lily Neesam, her sisters Paula Driver (Dennis) and Julie Neesam, her brother in law Gerald Whiteley (Sandra) and nieces and nephews Marc, Pippa, Paul, Maria, Molly, Megan, Wayne, Amanda and Michelle as well as many special great nephews and nieces.
Predeceased by her father Albert Edward Neesam and her brother Colin.
Kathleen was born in England in 1948 and moved to Canada in 1971. Her many adventures include being the owner/operator of Katie's family restaurant in Sherkston and owner/operator of Bedham Hall Bed and Breakfast in Niagara Falls. In 1999, Kathleen returned home to England and purchased a tea room and gift shop in the village of Kettlewell in the Yorkshire Dales. The "calling" of her children brought them back to Canada in 2005. In her later years, Kathleen volunteered at GBF and the Village of Hope.
Special thanks to Dr Juergens and her team at Juravinski Hospital and Joan and Mervyn for their countless support.
As per her wishes, a private celebration of life will occur.
