LOGAN, Kathleen (nee O’Rawe)
Our beautiful mother, Kathleen Logan passed away peacefully at The Village of Tansley Woods LTC on Saturday, March 19th, 2022 at the age of 91. Former wife of the late Peter Logan (d. 1978); devoted mother to Karen (Craig) Lomas and Eve (Bob Verlaque) Logan; fiercely proud grandmother of Emma (Steven) Palmer, John Lomas, Logan and Nell Verlaque.
Mom was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland on December 27, 1930 and was the eldest of 6 siblings. Her life in Belfast was difficult but not without the love of family. She is survived by her brother Richard O’Rawe and her sister Ann Lomas, their families and predeceased by her brothers Oliver and Harry and sister Shirley.
In the spring of 1950 she immigrated to Canada, later married, raised a family and helped her siblings join her in Burlington. Mom was made of great strength and determination, despite facing many difficulties. She lived 71 years in Canada and her happiest memories were of her life in Burlington. She was loved by us all.
A Memorial Mass will be held at St. John the Baptist Church at 2016 Blairholm Ave in Burlington on Friday, March 25th, 2022 at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to Tansley Woods LTC. Tansley was instrumental in ensuring Mom had quality of life and an easy passing. Any donations are to be made in cash or cheque (made out to Tansley Woods LTC) and mailed to Ripu Phull, Assistant General Manager, Tansley Woods LTC, 4100 Upper Middle Rd, Burlington, ON L7M 4W8
