Our family is saddened to announce the passing of our father, grandfather and friend, John David Eastwood. John was born in Manchester, England on August 6, 1940. We mourn the loss of an amazing father, a loving grandfather, and a good friend to so many that were lucky to know him. As many of you know my dad battled with MS and various cancers for many years. A tougher and more positive man has never been. He passed away on Wednesday, June 8th with his family by his side. Visitation at Smith’s Funeral Home, 485 Brant Street, (one block north of City Hall), Burlington (905-632-3333), on Saturday, June 25 from 12 p.m., with a Service of Remembrance immediately following at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate any donations made, on behalf of John, to the MS Society of Canada.
