This is very saddening news and I extend my condolences to all of John's family. We were good friends from the moment I first joined the BOTSC. We had many chats about the game, my kids who played the game and he taught me a lot about how best to enjoy the game. John was the personification of the club and the meaning of the "Beautiful Game". I'll miss you, John. God speed my brother, may you rest in peace in the arms of the Lord.

Neal and Jamie. I’m thinking of you and your families and remembering good times long ago spent with your Dad when we were kids before your grandparents moved back to England, family picnics, days at the beach. On several occasions your grandfather would bring your Dad with him on his visits to Canada. I would be in awe of my cousin thinking it was possible that being from England he may actually have met the Beatles! I will always remember your Dad’s wonderful sense of humour, his kind face and big hugs. My thoughts are with you.

So sorry to hear of your passing but glad you are at peace. I will cherish the memories of our golf trips and many soccer matches. Next time we are able to raise a pint in the pub I will hold my glass high and think of you. Safe journey my friend
