With heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother, & Uncle. John was the cherished husband of Susan (Ray) Bottomley, adoring and proud father to Lisa (Aaron), Amy (Kyle), John-Michel, Shelby (Jenn), Christian, Matthew (Nicole), and Opa to Maeve & Rowan. John has touched the lives of so many. He always went out of his way to ensure people felt loved and included. He was a master in the kitchen, always making sure his family & guests were well fed with his culinary delights. He was a man of sharp wit with Clarke Gable charm and a John Wayne Swagger. A most caring man, with a great sense of humour. Greatly missed will be his long warm hugs. A Family service will be held at Smith's Funeral Home on Brant Street, Burlington on March 24th at 3:00 pm, followed by a Celebration of Life at Pepperwoods Bistro, 1455 Lakeshore Road, Burlington from 5:00 to ???
