It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our warrior John on Sunday, May 17, 2020 at the age of 74. He is survived by his beloved wife Daisy (Lynne) of 50 years, cherished daughter Jennifer (Dan Fuciarelli) and proud Grandad of Lucy.

Son of the late Fred and Doris Ayling. Admired brother of Christine (Bill) Bunn, Joan (Rick) Reed as well as his niece, nephews, great niece and nephew. Adored son in law of Jean (late Kenneth) Nuttall.

John fought Parkinson’s with grace and dignity for over 25 years, but the Covid-19 was just too much for him.

John’s career spanned over every division of government including Local, Provincial, Federal and finally the job he loved as Executive Director of Business Development for Halton Region.

He will be forever remembered in the hearts of his family, and friends for his strength and determination. He enjoyed life to the fullest doing the things he loved the most, spending time with family and friends, fishing, enjoying good food and travelling.

He will be remembered for his great smile, quirky wit, being constantly reminded to pull up his pants, and being a true gentleman but most of all for being an amazing husband, father and friend.
