Passed away peacefully, with his family at his side, on Thursday, June 22, 2023, at the age of 56. John fought a courageous, three year battle with cancer and spent his last days doing what he loved, spending time outdoors. Dear husband of the late Diane (1990). Much loved father of Stacey Nova (Corey VanSickle), Anthony Nova and Dalton Novo (Simone Almedia). Cherished grandfather of Tereza. Loved brother of Natalia Borges (late Anthony), Norbina Manazzone (Tiziano), Teresa Santos (late John). Elda Machado (Manuel) and Lucy Costantini. He will also be greatly missed by many nieces, nephews and friends.

Cremation has taken place. Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 454 Highway #8 (east of Millen Road) STONEY CREEK (905-664-4222) on Thursday, June 29, 2023, from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. with brief Prayers at 8 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Cancer Society or Hamilton Health Sciences would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
