It is with deep sadness the family of Joan Smith announces her peaceful passing at Joseph Brant Hospital on September 2nd at the age of 84. Joan was born on October 27th 1934 in Montreal. Beloved mother of Starr Laverty (deceased) and Darcy Smith. Cherished grandmother to Christopher, Kyle and Ryan. Joan was a Thespian, an Artist, member of the Red Hat Society and an avid Bird watcher. Her sense of humour and no nonsense approach to life will be sadly missed by her family. Cremation will take place on Monday September 9th. Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to the Joseph Brant Hospital Foundation. We thank the many caregivers at Joseph Brant for their caring and compassion.
