Penman, James "Jim" Robert
Passed away peacefully with his family by his side at Joseph Brant Hospital, on November 3, 2019, at the age of 88. Jim will be deeply missed by his special friend Ebby and her family, Children Bob (Marlene), Paul (Cathy), Mark (Hilary), six grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, sister Betty (Larry), as well as many extended family and friends. Jim was predeceased by his wife, Irene (2009), sister Winnie, and great grandson McKiernan James Penman. Jim was a founding member of Burlington Alliance Church, worked for Cleaver and Company Law Firm for most of his working life, and for his last ten years was a volunteer at Joseph Brant Hospital. Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stop light north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Thursday November 7, 2019 from 3-5 pm and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held at Wellspring Church (Formally Burlington Alliance Church) 4457 New St, Burlington, ON, on Friday November 8, 2019 at 10:30 am. Interment at Woodland Cemetery, followed by a reception back at the church. For those who wish, donations in memory of Jim to the Joseph Brant Hospital Foundation would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
