Obituary for Jeffrey Roy Scheer
Jeffrey Roy Scheer (Jeff) unexpectedly passed away at Joseph Brant Hospital after a brief illness. He is survived by his son Anthony Roy Scheer (Tony) of Mavillette Nova Scotia, his sisters Sue and Carole, and brother Russell. Jeff is predeceased by his parents, Victor and Alice Sheer.
Jeff worked most of his life as a millwright where he helped come up with solutions to various engineering issues, helped train new employees, and constantly upgraded his own skill set by taking night courses.
At home he loved his cats Freya, Frigga, and Odin. Model building was one of his main hobbies after retirement, but he also enjoyed road trips on his motorcycle, fishing, planting a vegetable garden, and helping his brother with various household projects.
A Celebration of Life will take place at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 485 Brant St. (one block north of City Hall), on Saturday, September 30, 2023 from 4-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to Diabetes Canada, or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
