Passed away on Friday, June 14, 2019, in her 96th year. Beloved wife of the late Francis (Frank) Swanson (1997). Loved mother of Frank (Karen), Fred (Janet), Jim (Lia) and David. Cherished grandmother of Jim, Spencer and Mike. Dear sister of Carl Johnston and the late Margaret Taylor, Burt Johnston, Fred Johnston, Rita Loveless and Eva O'Riordan. Dear sister-in-law of Isabelle and Vic Simpson. As a young woman, Jean was a proud Registered Nurse at St. Joseph's Hospital in Peterborough where she met her husband Frank. After they married, she devoted herself to raising her family and enjoyed a full, rich life. Jean was a long-time member of St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church in Grimsby. She will be sorely missed. A private family service and interment at Queen's Lawn Cemetery have taken place. If desired, memorial contributions to West Lincoln Memorial Auxiliary would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
