Obituary for Jean Margaret Elizabeth Millman (Pitman)
With great sadness we share the passing of Jean at the Oakville Trafalgar Hospital on Sunday, February 12, 2023, at the age of 81. Beloved wife of the late John Millman (2009) and loving mother to Kate Thompson (Chris) and Jonathan Millman (Karen Ryckman). Cherished grandmother of Aidan Ryckman-Millman. Dear sister to Patricia (Richard) Dunn.
Jean will be remembered for her countless hours of volunteering in the community, most recently bringing the affection of therapy dogs to many and delivering library books to those who were unable to leave their homes. Jean was a kind, caring and loving presence to all who encountered her, bringing joy and happiness into the lives of so many. She will be missed by friends and extended family. In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place.
Her family wishes to thank the kind and caring staff at the Village of Tansley Woods Retirement home, the Joseph Brant Hospital Cancer Clinic, and other community nurses and personal support workers who cared for her in recent years. For those who wish, donations in memory of Jean may be given to the United Way or to the St. John's Ambulance.
