Obituary for James Douglas "Jimmie" Parsons
Peacefully passed away at Joseph Brant Hospital, on Monday, February 27, 2023, at the age of 89. Cherished husband of the late Mary Anne (1994) and dear father to both Kelly (Pat) and the late Jason (2017), beloved grandfather to Emily (Ian) and cherished partner and companion to Virginia. Beloved uncle to Chris, Cam, Lynda, and Nancy, Chris, Jim and John of California. Jimmie will be greatly missed by all. The family will be forever grateful for the exceptional care and kindness of the Paramedic Team and the Nurses and Doctors at Joseph Brant Hospital.
Visitation will be at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stop light north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Sunday, March 5, 2023, from 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A Service of Remembrance Funeral will be held at the Funeral Home on Monday, March 6 at 10 a.m. Interment will be held at a later date at Greenwood Cemetery. Please know the family has opted not to have a reception. In accordance with the family's wishes, cremation has taken place. If desired, memorial contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
