Passed away peacefully with family by his side at his home in Burlington on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at the age of 83. Born in North Bay, ON, he was the son of the late Ronald and Margaret Lassman. Predeceased by his beloved wife June Elizabeth of 51 years in 2019 and his brother Robert. Survived by daughter Tracey Valois; son Craig Lassman; grandchildren Stephen Lassman-Valois (Lauren), Kailee-June Valois (Josh), Marissa Valois, Rylan Lassman, Selina Lassman (Michael) and Blake Lassman; great grandchildren Benjamin and Cole Lassman, and Jace and Keenan Valois-Porrit; and younger brother Richard Lassman. Jim will be dearly missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. In keeping with Jim’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A private interment will be held in North Bay at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, donations to The Canadian Cancer Society would be sincerely appreciated.
