James Alan Cairns
(February 29, 1960 - April 14, 2020)
Passed away peacefully at Bridgepoint Active Healthcare Facility, Toronto, on Tuesday, April 14, 2020 at the age of 60. Son of Mary Cairns, predeceased by his father, William James Cairns (2015). Brother to Jennifer Cairns (Scot Hamilton) and uncle to Sarah, Sydney and Matthew Hamilton. Nephew to June Baker and Alan Reid.
Jim came into the world on a leap day with dimples, charm and a zest for life. He enjoyed his motorcycle, playing golf and spending time with friends. He lived his life his way and he fought for it until the end.
Thanks to the nurses and staff at Bridgepoint and Toronto General Hospital and to his many friends that called and visited him to lift his spirits.
Cremation has taken place and, due to the restrictions of COVID-19, there will be no service or visitation at this time. Please visit smithsfh.com to write a message or share a memory. In lieu of flowers, a donation in Jim’s memory to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
