Ingrid May Crawford {September 26, 1946 – September 3, 2019}

It is with profound sadness that the family of Ingrid Crawford announces her passing on September 3, 2019, peacefully at Hamilton’s Juravinski Hospital with her family by her side, after a brave and courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Glasgow, Scotland, Ingrid was the youngest daughter of the late Fanny and late Robert Thomson, and sister of the late Astrid Bartkiewicz (formerly Calvert).

Ingrid was a devoted partner and beloved soulmate to Michael Brannigan of Waterdown. She was cherished by her daughter Lisa (Mark), her son Jeffrey (Laurie) and granddaughter Kaitlin.

She was fondly known as “Nannie” to Michael’s granddaughter Ruby and grandson Jack, and will be greatly missed by Michael’s daughter Aindrea (Andrew).

Ingrid was also treasured by her niece Miriam, nephew Julian, and a host of long-time friends and loving cousins overseas.

Before her recent retirement, Ingrid worked as a well-respected, award-winning Ontario realtor serving residential clients in Hamilton-Burlington for over 35 years. She took great pride in helping her many clients fulfil their home ownership dreams.

Ingrid was passionate about her work, family and friendships, and was a determined woman of great strength. She had a flair for fashion, a great sense of style and a lifelong appreciation of the creative arts, architecture, interior design, décor, culture and history.

Her family would like to extend a special thank you to Ingrid’s cancer care team, including the wonderful and kind nurses & staff on floor C3 at Juravinski Hospital, who took such good care of her.

Per Ingrid’s wishes, cremation has already taken place. A private interment will be held at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Ancaster, Ontario. Friends are invited to share memories and celebrate Ingrid’s life at a reception to be held 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, 31 Sulphur Springs Road, Ancaster, Ontario L9G 1L7.

Memorial donations in memory of Ingrid may be made to Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Centre Foundation [], or a charity of your choice.
