It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Heinz Lampe at the age of 79.

Heinz is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Anne-Lise (nee Nielsen), his two sons, Derrick (Jeanette) and Brian (Stacey) and his grandchildren Katherine, Helaina, Christina, Nick and Aurora who were the light of his life. He will be missed by his sisters Marlies Beissel, Elisabeth (Erich) Bogel, Christa (Bob) Hamilton and his many nieces and nephews.

Heinz will be remembered as the practical joker who enjoyed his social bicycle rides around the neighbourhood both in Aldershot and Sebring.

Opa, Dad, we will miss you forever, love you for always and never forget you.

My love, 52 years were wonderful but not enough.

As per his wishes, there will not be a public service. To honour his life, in lieu of flowers, a donation to Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital in his name would be appreciated.

I'll never forget your inviting me to see your ocean-themed home in Sebring when I drove by and took a picture of it when I was looking for a home in Florida! I bought it after just walking into the Florida room and your livingroom! You will be remembered for your wonderful smile and outgoing personality, Heinz.

This has come as a complete shock. To hear of Hienz’ passing was devastating. We carry such fond memories of him. Bob always waited to hear the bike horn and Hienz asking if Bob could “come out to play”. Meeting you in Sebring was a blessing. Our condolences to you and your family.

In sympathy,

Bob and Betty Ann Gass
