In the mid 80s, when Hans was new to the country, ours paths crossed when he applied for a job where I worked. He knew little English but that didn’t stop us from quickly forming a steadfast bond that lasted these many years. Through Hans I came to know Cristal, Ingo, Astrid, and Helge, and saw what a wonderful family they were. Hans and Cristal loved their home, and they loved to entertain, and all that life had to offer. To know the Hetzers is to know what a good time is!

Hans was a very hard worker, and he instilled his work ethic in his children. He was like a brother to me, and I loved and respected him very much. It was always wonderful to hear his voice when he would call me to check in. My wife Carol and I will miss him and hold fond memories in our hearts forever.
