It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Greta Hammink on Friday, May 4, 2018 at The Carpenter Hospice at the age of 88. Mom will be greatly missed by her daughters Trudy (Dave), Jane (Dennis), brother Bill, grandson Nick and her extended family in Canada and Holland. Predeceased by her husband Bernard and son Gary. Greta will always be lovingly remembered for her kindness, caring ways and sense of humor. Her beautiful smile touched many, even in her last days. The twinkle in her eye may have been dimmed but its memory will live in the hearts of those who knew her. Thank you to the staff at H.G. and Joseph Brant Hospital for their compassionate care. A special thank you to those at The Carpenter Hospice who made her last days so comfortable. In keeping with Mom’s wishes, there will be no service. Donations in memory of Greta to The Carpenter Hospice or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.
