Obituary

Brett, Gerald Truman

Peacefully passed at the Village of Tansley Woods on July 11, 2019 at the age of 76. He will be dearly missed by his wife of 50 years, Marilyn, sons Jamie (Christalee) and Michael, as well as grandchildren Arissa, Tennessen, and Audrey. Survived by his sister Margaret. Predeceased by his brothers, Jack, Ron, Keith, and Victor. A private cremation has taken place. Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stop light north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Thursday July 18 from 12 p.m. until 1 p.m., where a Funeral Service and reception will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Gerald to the Alzheimer Society of Hamilton and Halton would be appreciated.

Gerry always ready to lend a hand. Kub jar fun day helping cook the hot dogs, cuboree helping park all those cars. All the work you did at and for camp Manitou. Always there. You are sorely missed Gerry. Rest in peace.

I met Gerry through Burlington Area Gilwell and shared many camps with him. I remember his stories fondly on how he managed to source materials and supplies for Manitou and camps. We shared some good laughs and I am sorry to hear of his passing. My condolences to the family.
