It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Georgina Stinton (nee Cyopeck) on Tuesday January 21st, 2020. Jean is predeceased by her husband Michael Stinton, sister Debbie Young and brothers John and Robert Cyopeck. She is survived by daughter Maureen Rieger (Tom), loving sister to David Cyopeck (Susan) and Rose Marie March (Steven) and sister in law to Peter and Patricia Stinton of Broadstairs, Kent England. An aunt to many nieces and nephews. She will be missed by her wonderful friends John & Lynn Palmer, Susan & Brian Herrington, Susan Harley Kidd, Sandra Watson and too many more to list. Georgina was a long-time employee of Ralston Purina foods and was active in the Occupational Health and Safety field. Jean was an avid golfer and if the grass was green, she was hitting a golf ball. A heart felt thank you to all the staff at Creekway Village for the wonderful care, compassion and comfort shown to Jean and her family. Our heartfelt sympathy goes out to Gina’s daughter Maureen, her husband Tom, and the Cyopeck family.
Gina was a very “special lady” to us. When growing up in the neighbourhood Gina was our babysitter as our Mom worked as a secretary. I am sure because of my brother she never pursued babysitting again. He was more than a handful. Whereas I was the perfect child. I fondly remember her favourite TV program was American Bandstand every single day without fail. Gina was like a daughter to our Mother and a treasured member of our family. A true friend in time of need Gina was there. Words cannot express our gratitude for her support during our Mother’s serious operation in 2009 when she insisted she recuperate at her home.
The Cyopeck and Harley families exemplified the true meaning of friendship.
Gina we will miss your infectious laugh and smiling face.
Always in our hearts 💓
