FERNLUND, Gail Beverly
Passed away at Joseph Brant Hospital on Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at the age of 81. Dear sister of Karen Hanson (late John). Cherished aunt of Heather Connors (Brian) and Sandra Sled (Keith). Gail will also be missed by her great-nieces and nephew. Predeceased by her parents, Carl and Sylvia Fernlund. Gail was a retired elementary teacher from the Wentworth School Board and spent 34 years teaching in many schools. She taught overseas at a Canadian Forces military base from 1967 to 1971. During this time she traveled throughout Europe and many other places worldwide. Gail was particularly attracted to China and made several visits there. Throughout retirement she enjoyed photography and took pride in tending to her beautiful garden. Gail will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 485 Brant Street, (one block north of City Hall), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Monday, December 2, 2019 from 9:30am – 10:30am. Internment at Woodland Cemetery to follow. For those who wish, donations in memory of Gail to a charity of choice would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
