Passed away peacefully in the night at The Village of Tansley Woods in Burlington on Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at the age of 89. Loving and devoted wife of John Neufeld for 63 years. Cherished mother of Kathryn Hubley (Steve), Christine Derksen (Tim) and Paul Neufeld (Ilona). Proud grandmother of Keith Hubley (Lauren), Phil Hubley (Theresa), Rachel Miller (Jeff), Madeleine Neufeld, and Isabel Neufeld, and great-grandmother of Jackson, Naomi, Ethan, and Liam. Dear sister of Tina Plenert, twin brother Fred Neufeld, the late Jake Neufeld, and late John Neufeld. Frieda will be fondly remembered by her extended family and numerous friends. Special thank you to the staff at The Village of Tansley Woods for their kindness and compassion. As per Frieda’s wishes, Visitation will be held at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stoplight north of QEW), BURLINGTON, 905-632-3333, on Friday, November 29, 2019 from 5-8pm. A Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home Chapel on Saturday, November 30, 2019 at 12:30pm. Interment at Burlington Memorial Gardens Cemetery followed by a Reception back at the Funeral Home. As an expression of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Frieda to the Mennonite Economic Development Association would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
