Passed away at Joseph Brant Hospital on Sunday, February 14th 2021 in her 95th year. She joins her beloved husband the late Robert Holden Walkey. Betty will be sincerely missed by her children, Bryan Walkey of Muskoka, Nancy (Peter) Dierx of Washington State, Sharon (Tim) Canham of Burlington and Craig Walkey of Massachusetts. She was a devoted Nana to Bill (Katelyn) & Michael (Madi) Walkey; Rob, James, & Natalie Dierx; Heather (James) Perry, Stephanie (Lewis) Hathaway & Rachel Canham; Harry & Claire Walkey, and a loving great-Nana to Blake & Tessa Walkey and Hunter Perry. Betty is survived by her sister Lois (Ray) Jeffrey of Toronto. Betty's family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Williamsburg retirement home, the nurses on the Joseph Brant Covid floor and especially Ellen for all their warmth, understanding and care for Betty.

A Private Family Funeral Service will be held at Smith’s Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. For those who wish, donations to Port Nelson United Church or a charity of your choice, in Betty’s memory would be sincerely appreciated.
