Obituary for Eileen Mildred Dutton

If you are reading this, it is because you were drawn to this lady who not once, not twice but most likely multiple times, greeted you with a truly genuine, welcoming smile. Eileen radiated unconditional warmth to those she came into contact with, whether it was the person commenting on the colour of her coat, her hair (which she was fiercely proud of) or simply someone along the way.

She was a determined advocate for Howard, her husband of 67 years and heaven help anyone who dared to stand in her way. More often than not, she got what she wanted, and had whoever gave it to her, feeling better for it!

Eileen & Howard were pleased to call Tansley Woods home. Her family would like to acknowledge the care and friendship shown by all the staff throughout their time as residents there, for their help and support while caring for Howard, and for the companionship and warmth extended to Eileen, in particular over the last four years.

The doctors and nurses at Joseph Brant, fifth floor, building 5 South, who excelled in providing a level of care and comfort for Mom that will remain in our minds for some time.

Eileen will be missed by all who loved and knew her, but most especially by her children, Paul and Cathy and their spouses Lucie and Blake, grandchildren Jessica & James and their spouses Eder and Laura, and great grandchildren Ava, Charlie, Esme & Toby.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Eileen's memory to the Joseph Brant Hospital Foundation would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
