Surrounded by his family, Allan Duane Marr passed away peacefully at McNally House, on Friday August 23, 2019, in his 63rd year. Forever cherished by his beloved wife Toby (nee Swift) and children; Bailey (Graeme), and Taylor. Treasured Papa to Finley and his new grandson, Jack who arrived shortly after his passing. Loving son of Peter (d) and Jean (d). Dear brother to Gerald, Jim (d)(Debbie), Janice (Barrie), Kevin (Danette) and Liane (Mit). Duane had a heart of gold and will be especially remembered for always finding ways to help those around him. Whether working on projects for himself, his family or others, Duane was happiest when working with his hands on home renovations, automotive or wood working projects. He loved listening to oldies and was never without his music. He was a dedicated blood donor for many years prior to his illness. As per his wishes, cremation has taken place. A visitation will take place at Stonehouse-Whitcomb, 11 Mountain Street, Grimsby on Thursday Sept 12, 3-5pm and 7-9pm. A Funeral Service will be held at Brethren in Christ Church, 53007 Perry Road, Wainfleet on Saturday Sept. 14 at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Canadian Blood Services and McNally House would be appreciated by the family.
