Obituary for Dr. Gesa Kohn-Gould (Kohn)
(KOHN-GOULD, Dr. Gesa
Passed away peacefully with family by her side at The Carpenter Hospice in Burlington on Sunday December 31, 2017, at the age of 61. A graduate of OVC 1985, Dr. Kohn-Gould practiced veterinary medicine in Burlington for the past 28 years. Loving and devoted wife of Peter for 39 years. Cherished mother of the Hon. Karina Gould MP (Alberto Gerones), Jonah Gould, Aaron Gould, and Noah Gould. Dear sister of Helmut Kohn, Renate Kohn (Elke) and the late Elvira Kohn, all of Germany. Gesa will also be missed by nieces and nephews, extended relatives and numerous friends. Gesa was deeply involved in the community and had a passion for hockey, ballroom dancing and coaching. Private Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Gathering to Celebrate Gesa’s Life will be held at the Royal Botanical Gardens - Rock Garden (1210 York Boulevard, Hamilton), on Friday, January 5, 2018 from 1-4pm, with Tributes beginning at 2:30pm. If desired, donations in Gesa’s memory to the World Wildlife Fund, the Ontario SPCA, or the Ontario Association of Food Banks would be sincerely appreciated.
