Clarkson, Dorothy (nee Hills)
Passed away suddenly at Joseph Brant Hospital, on Sunday, October 16, 2022, at the age of 79. She will be dearly missed by her beloved husband of 56 years, Bill. Survived by sisters Margaret (Martyn), and Yvonne (Ted). Dorothy is predeceased by her parents George and Eva (nee Harris) and sisters Marion and Florence. Dorothy loved traveling, visiting over 60 countries with Bill. They enjoyed their summers at their cottage in Orillia and their winters soaking up the sun in Florida. Dorothy took up art and became an accomplished artist. When she wasn't painting, she followed her other passion, that of reading books. She will be missed incredibly.
A private burial has taken place. A Celebration of Life will take place on Friday October 28 at the Art Gallery of Burlington, 1333 Lakeshore Rd, Burlington, ON from 2pm until 5pm with the Celebration at 3pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Salvation Army, Doctors without Borders (Canada), Princess Margaret Hospital and UNICEF (Canada) would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
