Obituary for Dorothy Clark (Curran)

DOROTHY CLARK (CURRAN)
November 19, 1940 – July 14, 2023

Forever in our hearts, our cherished mother will be deeply missed by Cheryl (Andrew), Connie (Gary) and Crystal. Predeceased by John in 2020, her beloved husband of 60 years.

Daughter of the late Keith Curran and Reta Gilmore, Mom and her brother Harold (predeceased), were the fifth generation of the Curran homestead on Covey Hill Road in Havelock, QC. She grew up on the family apple orchards, and throughout her life, worked on the family farms, bringing a strength of character and work ethic to everything that she did. Mom took great pride in her home, and flower gardens, and always enjoyed entertaining friends and family. She loved making every occasion a memorable one, especially at Christmas. Over the years, travelling was a passion, and she eagerly welcomed that next trip.

Mom lived her life on Covey Hill Road until she and Dad moved to Ormstown in 2019. Last year, Mom moved to Burlington, ON where she enjoyed life in her new community and loved living closer to her three daughters and her sons-in-law. It was her family that truly brought her the most happiness in life, and she was a devoted and courageous mother.

Interment at the Wesley United Church in Havelock. If desired, memorial donations may be made to S.A.B.E.C. at www.sabecduhsl.com or sent to C.P. 90034, 1493-2, Route 138, Godmanchester, QC, J0S 1H0.

“Sincere and true in her heart and mind, beautiful memories she left behind. Memory drifts to scenes long past; time rolls on, but memories last. Sunshine passes, shadows fall; love’s remembrance outlasts all.” Unknown
