Passed away peacefully at Joseph Brant Hospital in Burlington on Saturday, September 28, 2019 at the age of 82. Predeceased by her beloved husband Doug in 2011. Deanna will be deeply missed by her children Denise and Douglas, her cherished grandchildren Russel and Paige and their mother Deborah, as well as her longtime friend Bernie and many extended family members and friends. Deanna was an avid arm chair sports fan who enjoyed hockey, basketball, curling and the Olympics. She also enjoyed watching the Toronto Blue Jays. Deanna loved all animals, especially her beloved dog Boomer. She will be fondly remembered for her desire to care for others first, before herself, and for always encouraging her family to follow their passions in life. Visitation at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stoplight north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Friday, October 4, 2019 from 3-6 p.m. As an expression of sympathy, donations made to The Joseph Brant Hospital Foundation or The Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.
