WOOD, David B. "Big Dave"
After a brave 5 year battle with cancer, passed peacefully with his family gathered at The Carpenter Hospice on November 28, at the age of 87. Beloved husband of Charlotte (nee McLaughlin) for 64 years; loving father of Dorianne (Steve) Irwin, David (Colleen) Wood and Ellen (Jim) Forbes; proud grandfather of Rebecca, Victoria, Cole, Emma and Eric and honorary grandfather of Josh McIntyre. Also survived by his dear brother Jack (Marcia) Wood.
A long time Oakville resident and retired insurance professional but many will know him from his years running "Croc A Dial" in the Bronte and surrounding areas.
Dave had a love of life and made friends feel like family everywhere he went. He always had a seat at the table for anyone who wanted to stop by and say hi. He was quick to laugh and quick to have your back. We will all miss him terribly.
