Unexpectedly at his residence on Saturday, August 31, 2019 at the age of 70. Beloved son of the late Roy and Jennie Smith. Loving father of Leah Smith (Philip Argent). Survived by his sister Irene Smith. Predeceased by his brother Brian Smith. Dave is fondly remembered for his warm smile, his love of music and playing the drums. As per Dave’s wishes, cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory to the Canadian Mental Health Association would be appreciated.

David and I were each others " holder " of secrets back in the 60's at M.M. Robinson high school. We could fix most of our teenage problems before class every morning. We didn't need therapy!!! We never saw each other since then. I hope he had a happy life. Safe journey, my old friend and see you on the other side.

Sending heartfelt condolences to the Smith Family. I knew David through his parents, Roy and Jennie, as they were next door neighbors and good friends to my grandparents, Collin and Lillian Moore on Maplewood Drive. Both homes shared a walkway between their hedge and I spent time with the Smith family in my youth. David was a kind soul who shared his father's charm and good looks. He will be missed. - Jason Smith (Grandson of Collin & Lillian Moore)

Thanks for sharing this message Jason. I have really enjoyed hearing old memories and stories about my dad this week. I spent a lot of time at my grandparents house on Maplewood growing up and I remember the Moore’s! Leah
