David Henri Kemp passed away surrounded by his loving children on Thursday, April 22nd 2021 at the young age of 63. Dave suffered from early onset dementia (Alzheimers) and fought a losing battle for many years. Dave will be greatly missed by his children Dave (Rhoni), Steph (Karl), Jen and Chris (Kim). Also, by his sisters Liz (Warren), Sue, the late Pepper (2008) and brother-in law-Ron. One of the things that seemed to bring Dave the greatest joy near the end were his grandchildren Skylar, Kane, Avienda, David and Riley and he would have loved to see them grow.
Throughout Dave’s life he met and made an impact on so many people’s lives, and so to name all the people that will be affected by this loss would be impossible. Due to current circumstances in the world, we will not be able to all get together and celebrate the life of Dave Kemp. We encourage anyone that is interested to email any stories or pictures of Dave to davehenrikemp@gmail.com. Then when we are able, hopefully at the end of summer we can hold a celebration of life at a local bar or patio or parking lot. Dave was social and loved having a drink with good friends and family and so it doesn’t seem right to celebrate his life any place else.
The Family would also like to thank the staff at Dundurn Care Centre for the love and compassion that they showed Dave and his family through his stay there and especially during his last days.
