Obituary

It is with a heavy heart that I announce the passing of my dear husband David Charles Bryer on Thursday, December 12, 2019. Loving dad to Jeff Bryer (Sheri) and Jenn Bryer (David De Angelis) and proud papa to Alex, Ben, and Sammy Bryer and Giada De Angelis.

Dave was the oldest son to Charles and Kay Bryer (predeceased), brother to Georgia (Rick Wiggins), Karla (John Stenekes), and Robert (Diane) and son-in-law to Jack Leadbeater and brother-in-laws Jack Jr. and Doug.

Dave was an award-winning industrial & commercial builder. He was a passionate supporter of his favourite football & soccer teams (Buffalo Bills, Hamilton Tiger Cats & Toronto FC). He was instrumental in developing the Guelph Youth Soccer Club and the Royal City Soccer Club into the successful clubs they are today. But Dave’s true passion was in supporting and following his son and daughter in their athletic careers in soccer and rugby, which was carried on by his 3 grandsons and also his granddaughter in dance. Dave loved life and enjoyed spending time with his family. He will be sadly missed.

Visitation will be held at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, located at 1167 Guelph Line, Burlington, ON, on Wednesday, December 18, 2019, between 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.

I want to thank you Dave for allowing me to know you and to have the fun we had growing up through high school. Your passing brings out all the memories I had of us with me trying to get a date and you dating Sue. Talking to you last year at the boys reunion, and bringing me up to date on your life, health, and plans were significant. I will miss seeing and talking to you the next time I get together with the boys. Sue, my sincere condolences to you and your family. Love, Jamie.

I am saddened to hear of the passing of Dave. The memories of us at Nelson are for a lifetime. To Sue and family, I am thinking of all of you from Surrey, British Columbia. Dave is now on God's football team in Heaven.

Sue, Jeff and Jenn, I was so sorry to hear of Dave's death. I know how proud he was of Jeff and Jenn and I saw this over the years Sue sitting with you and Dave on the side of a soccer or rugby field cheering for our girls Jenn, Susan and Tanya. I can just imagine how much joy and fun he shared with his grandchildren and cheering them on. I hope the love of your family, the caring of friends and your countless happy memories will bring you comfort at this sad time. ❤

I always remember Dave as the go to person if anybody needed or wanted a photo, he took great pictures and made many people happy with lots of memory books.
Rest if peace.
