It is with heavy hearts that the family of Concettina D’Angelo announce her peaceful passing on March 15, 2023, at the age of 91. Predeceased by her parents Mario Marinucci and Rosina Volpe and late husband Enio D’Angelo of 62 years. Concettina was born in Introdacqua, Abruzzo, Italy and was proud of her heritage. She is survived by her daughter Adelina (late Antonio) Sansalone. Cherished nonnina to Ennio (Jennifer) Sansalone, Adriana (Paul) Bertoia and bisnonna to her special angels Madison, Antonio and Angelo. Concettina is survived by many nieces and nephews and relatives in Canada, Italy and the United States. Concettina was a hard worker all of her life and immigrated from Italy to Canada. She worked as a seamstress for Firth Brothers Limited Clothes for many years. Her house was always full of joy, laughter and amazing Italian home cooked meals. She always greeted everyone at her door with an open heart and big smile. A special thank you to the nurses and doctors at the General Hospital and St. Peter’s Hospital. Visitation is at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 454 Highway#8 (east of Millen Road) STONEY CREEK (905 664-4222) on Wednesday, March 22 from 3-5 and 6-9 p.m with Vigil Prayers at 8:45 p.m. The funeral mass will be taking place at St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church, 340 Highway #8, Stoney Creek on Thursday, March 23 at 10:30 am. Entombment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Our Lady of Victory Mausoleum.
