Passed away on Wednesday, November 13, 2019, at the age of 85. Beloved
husband of Donna. Loving father of Deborah Matthews (Tom), Suzanne, and
Patricia Duncan(Colin). Proud Grandfather of John, Laura and Sarah
Matthews, and Devyn and Riley Duncan. Will be missed by many friends and
extended family.

A very special thank you to the staff at The Village of Tansley Woods for
their exceptional care and compassion over the last 4 years.

Cliff, had a love of family and sports, and volunteered with local hockey
programs for over 40 years. He coached, managed and convened at all
levels; and represented Burlington at the OMHA Central and TRI County
leagues. He was also an executive with the 'Horsehoe' tournament. In 2006,
he was honoured to receive the AJ Dunn award for Sportsperson of the year.
In-between his volunteering, Cliff, held a management position in the
finance department of Stelco, retiring in 1990.

Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stop light north
of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Saturday, November 23, 2019 from
12:00pm until the time of Service of Remembrance at 1:00pm. For those who
wish, donations in memory of Cliff to The Carpenter Hospice would be
sincerely appreciated by the family.
