Obituary for Christopher Michael Byrne
Byrne, Christopher Michael ( April 17th, 1973 )
With great sorrow we announce the passing of our Chris at Hamilton General Hospital on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 in his 45th year, with Michelle, his beloved wife of 19 years , and his children, Katie, Jackson and Jacqueline by his side.
His first love was his family. A devoted father to his children and a role model to others, he could be seen delivering pizza to his children’s classmates, dressing up at Halloween, and spending hours sharing his knowledge of history, hunting and hockey. Go Leafs Go!
He was a friend that would always have time to sit and have a coffee, build a shed, or make a dump run. We are heartbroken that campfires at the trailer and hunt camp will never be the same without his deep laugh, great stories, and unsolicited advice.
Always thinking of others, it is with great pride that the Trillium Gift of life program were able to orchestrate five individual life saving transplants with Chris’ organ donations.
A memorial gathering will be held at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 485 Brant Street, (one block north of City Hall), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Saturday, March 3, 2018 from 3 - 6pm.
Donations in his memory can be made to the Canadian Association for Mental Health, Halton Region.
He is survived by his father, William Byrne (Maureen), his mother, Brenda Mowatt, and Sister Andrea (Waldon) and his son Michael Chapple.
