Dunn, Catherine Dorothy (nee Sherritt)
It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Catherine Dunn (nee Sherritt) announce her passing on Sunday May 15th, 2022 in her 85th year at her home in Hanover, Ontario. Catherine leaves behind her loving husband of 65 years, Melvin. Dear mother of Charles (Shirley), Greg (Gianfranco), Theresa and Melanie. Loving grandmother and great-grandmother, aunt and great aunt. Predeceased by her parents Lillian (nee Shield) and Elmer Sherritt, brothers Charlie, Raymond and Milton, as well as sisters Doreen Cole (nee Sherritt), Frances Rosanna. Catherine is survived by her remaining sister Margaret Everett (nee Sherritt). Catherine Enjoyed knitting and made many outfits and blankets for family and friends. Mom loved to play cards and crokinole, and had her sense of humour right until the end. She worked at Dominion and A&P where she made very special friends. The Dunn family is very greatful to Dr. Susan Batten, Dr Barfoot, the care partners team 3 nurses, PSW's and registered dietician. Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stop light north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Thursday May 19th, 2022 from 5pm until 8pm. The family kindly requests that guests attending the visitation wear a mask. Interment at Burlington Memorial Gardens will take place Friday May 20th at 9:30am. If desired, memorial contributions to a charity of your choice in lieu of flowers would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
