Bogdan Marchidanu, 55, of Wasaga Beach, Ontario passed way peacefully on May 23rd, 2023 at St. Michael’s Hospital, Toronto.

Bogdan Marchidanu was born in Ploiesti, Romania on August 5, 1967 to Ion and Ana Marchidanu.

On December 11, 1989, he married Anca Cristina Rosu in their hometown. Over the next 17 years, they build their family in Romania and on September 15, 2006, they and their 3 daughters made the trip across the Atlantic Ocean to settle in Toronto, Canada.

Bogdan was known by his friends and family for his exceptional cooking, having enjoyed many meals with them over the years.

He was also known for his abilities in building homes, coming up with creative solutions for any of his and Anca’s many projects over their lifetime together.

He enjoyed 80’s music and target shooting, having acquired the affection when he joined the conscripted military service in Romania in the late 80s. When he wasn’t working on his latest building projects, he could be found on the couch watching World War II documentaries.

He loved his two pups, Tzuky and Loki, and would often be found on the deck with them in his lap, enjoying his morning coffee. He was an amazing grandpaw to Aki and Carmela who showered him in kisses every time they saw him.

Bogdan is survived by his wife of 33 years, Anca Cristina; his 3 daughters, Ina (Mihai), Sinziana (Adam) and Thea. Survived also by his brother Danut (Carmen) as well as 2 granddaughters, Bella and Reina; predeceased by his parents Ion and Ana.
