Peacefully, Bert was taken to his heavenly home, on Friday, June 28, 2019. Beloved husband of Frances (nee Zwaagstra) for 64 years. Loved father of Lydia (Peter) Bruining, Jack (Debbie) Snippe, Judy (Terry) Bergsma, Leonard (Lynn) Snippe, Anthony (Janet) Snippe and Fran (Fred) VanderHeide. Cherished Opa of Rachel (Andre), Josh, Rheanna. Katelyn (Tim), Robert (Cassandra), Jonathan (Andrea), Kim (Mark), Mark (Heather), Nathan, Jessica (Josh), Julia, Levi, Jenaya, Elisha (Doug), Brad (Melissa), Justin (Jen), Mitch (Elise), Matt (Lisa), Rebecca (Arnold), Sarah (Jason), Ryan (Cassandra), Mariah, Robert, Victoria (Henry), Jordan and Andrea and Great-Opa of 43 great-grandchildren. Bert will also be missed by many other family members and friends in Canada and Holland. Visitation at Mountainview Christian Reformed Church, 290 Main Street East, Grimsby, on Tuesday, July 2, 2019, from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m., where the Service of Remembrance will take place on Wednesday, July 3, 2019, at 11 a.m. Private interment at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens, Fonthill will take place prior to the Service.
