After living a life filled with love and compassion, Helen “Bernice” Matheson (nee White) passed away on Monday, October 10, 2022. She was born in Hannon, Ontario on August 29, 1930. Bernice was completely devoted to her family, friends and community. Beloved wife of the late Norman Matheson (2009). Cherished and loving mother of Richard Matheson (Susan) and Lynn Tremain. Deeply loved and treasured by her grandchildren, Sarah Tremain Douglas (Ben) and Matthew Tremain. Adored G. G. (great grandma) of Alistair Douglas. Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 485 Brant Street, (one block north of City Hall), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Monday, October 17 from 12 p.m., until the start of the Funeral Service at 1 p.m. Interment to follow at Woodland Cemetery (700 Spring Gardens Rd, Burlington). In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society of Canada would be appreciated by the family.
