Passed peacefully on Friday, January 12, 2018, at the age of 74. Beloved husband of Judy. Loving step father of Jill (Drew) Battersby and Adam (Lisa) Diverty. Papa of Emma Battersby, Kale and Bryn Diverty. Dear brother of Kirk (Margaret), nephews Ross and Scott and great nephew Riley. Predeceased by brothers Jim and Graham, parents Edna and Reginald. Barrie will be sadly missed by his companion Bob, along with his family, friends and all who knew him.

Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 485 Brant Street, (one block north of City Hall), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Saturday, January 20, 2018 from 12 -1 p.m. where a Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel at 1 p.m. Reception to follow.
