Peacefully at home on Thursday, October 17, 2019 in his 82nd year, with his wife Wendy at his side.

Father to James and the late Kelly (2015), and former husband of Sheila James who remained a lifelong friend. Much loved by the extended Woytasik, Gill, Smith, Martin and Karr families, as well as friends and former coworkers.

Born and raise in Toronto, Dr. Bill graduated from University of Toronto Medical School in 1962, specializing in the emerging field of occupational medicine. He spent the majority of his career at the Oakville Ford plant, following which he became a medical consultant for WSIB.

In retirement, he focused his energies on music, with skill on keyboards, ukulele, harmonica, electric bass and singing. He re-channeled his passion for patient care into prayer and pastoral care at the Unity ministries he attended.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2019 at 2 p.m. at Unity Church of Mississauga (Unit 8-3075 Ridgeway Drive, Mississauga). Reception to follow. Cremation has taken place; interment will be family only.

In lieu of flowers, a donation in Dr. Bill’s memory to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
