Obituary for Anna Neri

Neri, Anna

Her life journey completed and surrounded by her loving family on April 19, 2024, Anna in her 80th year was called to the Lord. She leaves behind a legacy of love to her beloved husband, Quinto of 50 years. Gifted with many wonderful memories are her daughter Carolina Neri (David Bowman), and her son Pio. She was a proud nonna of her cherished grandsons, Christian and Hunter, and dear sister to the late Nicoletta, Rocco (Giovanna), the late Rosetta (Cosimo), the late Giovanni (Graziella), the late Carmelo, the late Suora Maria Lucia, the late Antonietta (the late Giovanni) and the late Salvatore (the late Maria). Predeceased by her parents Francesco Spina and Maria Francomano.

Anna, who was also known to many as Zia Nina, was a vibrant soul whose zest for life was evident in everything she did. With a heart as big as her love for red, she embraced each day with a glass half full attitude. Her passion for family knew no bounds, and her homemade pasta and famous sponge cake brought joy to countless gatherings. Fairness was her guiding principle, and her love of music especially for Gianni Morandi, Little Tony and Kenny Rogers, filled her home with warmth and melody. She was a master of the “malocchio” which gave comfort to many. Anna’s fun-loving spirit and unwavering love will be dearly missed but forever cherished by her family and friends here in Canada and in Italy.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the doctors and staff at West Lincoln Memorial Hospital, the paramedics who responded at the scene, and the PSW's at CBI. Your kindness will always be remembered. Also, we would like to thank Father Greg from Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish for his prayers and services.
