Obituary for Anna Aniol (Berlin)

Surrounded by her family, Anna passed away peacefully after a brief illness on Wednesday, July 12 at the age of 88. She is now reunited with her husband Hieronim (Henry) (2000) and her sons Edward (1988) and Christopher (2017). Anna will be lovingly missed by her daughter Lorraine (Ian Finlayson) of Burlington, her grandchildren Adam Aniol of Mission BC, Angela Aniol of South River, ON, James Henley of Kitchener, and Nicholas Henley of Burlington. She is predeceased by her siblings; Aleks, Jadwiga, Zdzislaw, Kazimiera, and Halina, and her grandsons Cory and Baby Aniol. Anna will also be dearly missed by her nieces, great grandchildren, extended family, members of the Polish community, and her feline companion, Lucky.

Anna was a member of the Polish Seniors Club, and one of the founding families of the Polish Hall in Burlington. A longtime parishioner of St. Gabriel’s Church, her family helped build the church in 1962.

Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 485 Brant Street, (one block north of City Hall), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Tuesday, July 18, 2023 from 7-9 p.m. A private family service will be held at a later date.
