Obituary for Allan James Millar

Allan James Millar
MILLAR, Allan James 1942-2018

We sadly announce the passing of Allan at Joseph Brant Hospital, on Friday, May 4, 2018 at the age of 75. Beloved husband to Patricia (nee Hegarty) for 53 years. Brother of Joan (Brian) Long and uncle to Kayley and Shelley. Dear cousin to Marilyn Lutes and Carlyle Cundiff. Loving brother-in-law of Larry (Shirley) Hegarty, Terry (Les) Whent, Madge (late Marcel) Robinson, Wayne (Barb) Hegarty, Joanne (late Stan) Cherneski, and Val (Dave) Poliquin. Will be missed by his 10 cousins and by his 18 nieces and nephews in the Hegarty family. Predeceased by his parents James and Verna (nee Hand) Millar, by his sister-in law Evelyn and her husband Harry Tiboni, and by his brother-in-law Paddy Hegarty. Allan dedicated his life to protecting all. This was seen through his work in the OPP, the Burlington Police Force, and the City of Burlington; by his friends and family on countless occasions always putting other's well being first; and through his love of nature and animals. A special thank you to all of our friends and neighbours for all of their support and loving care. A Memorial Service will take place at St. Basil Roman Catholic Church, White River, Ontario at a later date. For those who wish, donations in memory of Allan may be given to the Toronto Humane Society or to the Good Shepherd Centre.
